Command Line Interface

Use wcctl.exe console program to configure the program via command line interface.

Command line wcctl.exe file is created during the program installation. You can find it in Webcam for Remote Desktop Server program folder.

Command-line syntax cheat sheet

Notation	Example	Description
Text without brackets	command	Items which must be typed as shown.
Text in square brackets	[optional]	Optional parameter.
Text in angle brackets	<value>	Placeholder for user-provided values.
Text in curly braces	{ required_value =0\|=1 }	Group of required choices. At least one option must be included.
Pipe	option_1\|option_2	Divider between alternative options. Only one option can be selected.

Usage: wcctl.exe command [option]

Syntax:

list                            List webcams in the following format:
                                <ID> <name> [selected].
select <ID>                     Select the webcam identified by ID and display
                                the result as <name> [selected].
config                          Display the current configuration.
config mjpeg [value]            Set compression to MJPEG with the specified 
                                quality (value in percent) or display the 
                                current quality if a value is not specified.
config vp8 [value]              Set compression to VP8 with the specified 
                                quality (value in kbit/s) or display the 
                                current quality if a value is not specified.
config info [yes|no]            Enable or disable the information overlay, or 
                                display the current setting.
flip <ID>                       Display the image flip setting for a webcam 
                                identified by its ID.
flip <ID> v=1|0                 Enable or disable the vertical image flip for a 
                                webcam identified by its ID.
flip <ID> h=1|0                 Enable or disable the horizontal image flip for 
                                a webcam identified by its ID.
sstat                           Display the stream statistics: <FPS>, <Bitrate>.
key                             Display the current license key information.
key <path>                      Apply the license key from the file.
log show|clear                  Display or clear the program log.
log level error|debug           Set the logging level to error or debug
                                logging.
help|/?                         Show this help.
