Webcam in remote desktops

Hi guys,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but is there a way to be able to use my camera on a remote server? Also, will other users on the same server be able to see the video from my webcam? Thanks!

This is indeed the right place to ask Smiley Could you please specify what OSs are running on your local machine and on the remote server? Also,  what software do you want to use your webcam with on the server?

Thank you for your answer.
i've been googling this for a while now and found several ways how to redirect any USB device (not just webcams) to the remote session. But the thing is if i use these applications any user on the server will be able to see my webcam, am i right? I mean don't get me wrong, I have no secrets from anybody, but I would still feel a little uncomfortable.
 
my home os is windows XP and remote desktop runs windows server 2003

I think 'Webcam for Remote Desktop' software is exactly what you need. It allows you to isolate access to your webcam, so that you can use it only within your remote desktop sessions, i.e. no one else will be able to see it.

It works both in Microsoft RDP and Citrix ICA environments.
 
You're right, most USB redirection solutions available on the market today make clients' USB devices available to all Terminal Server users. Sometimes it's a good feature, but sometimes (for security or privacy reasons) it's not.
 
Luckily, Webcam for Remote Desktop solves this problem. Moreover, you can do the same with printers and scanners too. There are 'Printer for Remote Desktop' and 'Scanner for Remote Desktop' respectively.
