Virtual Serial Port and .NET

Hi, I plan to use the Virtual Serial Port Control in a VB .NET 2.0 application.
I would like to know if the control works fine in a MultiThreading Apartment, and if I can use it in a console application.
Has anybody already tried it or can give suggestions?
