Usually error �module:FtShellApp(262)� appears when software service is off. To recover �application`s functionality you need to restart the service. To do it right click on �My Computer� icon, choose �Manage� --> Services --> Look for �Virtual Serial Port Kit Service� and turn it on or click �Restart�.

- What is the remote application you were writing about?
- What version of Virtual Serial Port Kit are you using?
- What OS do you use?
