Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC)

Hello,

Has anyone had success using "USB for Remote Desktop" with "Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC)"?

The configuration I would like to try is:
* One Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 server with Remote Desktop Services (Terminal Services) enabled.

* Five Windows 7 Professional x64 RDP clients

The Windows Server 2008 server will have Windows Mobile Device Center installed

Each of the five Windows 7 clients has a Windows Mobile phone attached via USB.

When the five Windows 7 connect via RDP to the server, will they be able use "USB for Remote Desktop" to sync thru WMDC running on the server?

Thanks

beyeriii,

Unfortunately our software will not work with Windows Mobile Device Center within an RDP session. This is not a fault of our software, WMDC on Windows 2008 is generally not designed to work within an RDP session.

The only possible workaround is to downgrade to Windows 2003 and use ActiveSync, or use VDI environment instead of TS environment.
