Could you please post a screen shot with this red dot? Because the red dot is shown only when the device was detected but not detected any longer. Nonetheless we need to see it.

Please make sure you have "USB for RDP" Server and NOT "USB over Network" Server.
Also you cannot point the USB server to the client (workstation). When device is redirected by means of "USB for RDP" Workstation and must be visible in "USB for RDP" Server as soon as you access your Server PC via RDP.
Please describe the steps of what you did.
