No connection Server - Workstation (w2003 /Win7)

I kept on having technical difficulties with USB remote Desktop using Vista. Now I upgraded to Windows 7 hoping it would solve things.Burn unf. it did not.

Both on Server (w2003) and workstation (win7) the apps seems running ok (v.2.3.1).
De server app say's: connectionId 4586 (so its waiting on workstation). De workstation apps say's: Port #0006HUB_#007-PocketPC USB sybn (green icon, ready to be redirected) So far so good.

After pressing redirect, nothing seems to happen, not on Workstation and not on Sever. It looks like Workstation does not even try to connect to server.
(note : without USB remote desktop software started usb is working ok)

any suggestion how to start solving this?
