hi , Andrew: =================== USB over Network provides exclusive access to remote shared USB devices. It means that users cannot access the same dongle at the same time. BUT, if you need to use the program not simultaneously, USB over Network is the proper solution (for example if clients are in different timezones). ================== for example if clients are in different timezones: It is: A: the time of windows systems are in different timezones; B: users are in different timezones. A or B ? I think, usb over network should have a special version for dongle. It must have a new way. I have seen some thoughts about iUSB just like iSCSI. you can study from iSCSI , and let iUSB (server side)have nothing with OS that usb devices connected. Every client can read dongle just like other client doesn't exist. Dongle is special, clients only read in use. I don't know if a server with usb-over-network server side soft installed uses a usb device directly connect to it, does it need usb-over-network client soft? I hope it does, so you can control usb device fully through server side soft. I think host os and clients access a usb device in two ways,it may be a question.
