Command line launching ??

Does “USB over Network” allow for command line launching? I guess what I am asking can I launch the program and connect or disconnect from a USB shared devise without actually going into the client window choosing the connection and the clicking connect or the reverse to disconnect.

Possible Example:

usbclient.exe /connect \\server /USBDevice1
usbclient.exe /disconnect \\server /USBDevice1

This would allow connect & disconnect to be incorporated into a batch file or similar automated script program. Something like this would free up the device quickly for other clients to share the device when not needed automatically.

Our problem in using your wonderful product is getting someone to disconnect when they are not using the shared USB port.

Yes, we are going to add a command line feature in the next program version.

Thank you very much for useful feedback.

Hi,
Currently we can offer you C/C++ developer API that allows to connect/disconnect devices from your own application.
Command line feature will be available in the next program versions (estimated date of arrival is April 2007).

Hi - is this new version out now with the Command Line support??

Haven't seen it mentioned in any of the product documentation.

Thanks

Hi,
Currently we don't offer such feature. We offer C++ developer API for this purpose. But be sure, it will be implemented.

Thanks for your interest.

Thanks Andrew.

Are you able to say when?

I don't have any C++ developers so that's not really an option for me.

Thanks,

Nick
