Kernel crashing upon connecting

All, I currently have a RHEL 7.1 system with a 3.10.0-229 kernel running virtualized in a QEMU session. When I try to connect the USB over network client to a USB device shared out by the windows version of the USB server, I get an instant kernel crash. I can use the USB over network just fine on a virtualized RHEL 6.4 and even some other virtualized RHEL 7.1 systems with kernel 3.10.0-229, so I am not too sure what is causing this. I think it might be the X settings with my particular RHEL environment, namely the EDID and the virtual USB monitor ports contained in it, and yet when I remove the EDID from my Xorg the crash still occurs sometimes (although less than when the Xorg is using the EDID). I am using server version 5.2.2.3 and client version 5.1. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks
