Huge delay for some USB tokens

Hi guys,

Thank you for the great product!

Actually, we have a problem with some USB tokens (cryptography keys eToken/ruToken): it takes up to 1 minute to read information from them, not sure why.  We have a good connection between hosts.

So when the token is in the local machine, it takes few seconds to read private key from it, when it's on the remote machine, it takes at least 30 seconds).

Is it possible to debug/dump  traffic somehow, to find where the delay is?

Thank you in advance.

Hi! Smiley
Thank you very much for your interest to our products!

1) The speed depends on device driver. Some devices send a huge number of small packets, and it leads to significant delays.
The size of delay = 1 packet latency * Number_of_packets
We just redirect  all packets to remote side without any compression (concerning USB over Network and USB for Remote Desktop).
Almost all devices work fine, but there can be some exclusions.

2) Also it is possible that the software that works with device, has a very small timeout.
It makes a request to device, doesn't receive a response, makes new request and then do the same thing more than 1,000 times or so, until it receives the response from device in the range of acceptable timeout.

Yes, you can monitor USB traffic of virtual port.
Please download our USB Monitor Pro, install it on virtual side and check the number of packets and delay between them:

Hi,

Thank you very much for the explanation.

I tried to monitor the remote device (on the virtual side) and got the error, see the screenshots below.

What's wrong with that?

Thank you.

Hi
As I can see you are redirecting your usb device with help of "USB Redirector" (https://postimg.cc/image/6gnw8qtub/). I would advise you to use our SW for usb device redirection.

Ah, yes, sorry Sad  I was trying different software and all of them had the similar problem.  I will try to monitor correctly, thank you.
