Error Message: Shell <-> Service '

Hi

I installed "USB over IP" (raspberry pi / pi store) and on my home PC (Win 7) "USB over Network Client / Trial / 64-bit". But when I start the client, the error message "Shell <-> service 'Communication API not loaded" comes.
Is there a solution to this problem?

Many thanks

Hi !

Please check the status of "FabulaTech USB over Network (Client Core)" service on the USB over Network (client) side. Run it if needed.

I have same issue with Windows 7. The  "FabulaTech USB over Network (Client Core)" service on server is not running. It will shutdown right away when I start manually. Here is the Event error:

Hi !
Do you have any old versions of USB over Network on your PC ?

I would advice you to make the clean installation:
- uninstall the USB over Network (all installations) from your PC (cmd.exe with admin rights):
wmic product where vendor='fabulatech' call uninstall
List of installations must be empty. Check list cmd (cmd.exe with admin rights):
wmic product where vendor='fabulatech' get name
- restart your PC;
- install the latest release (5.1) of USB over Network (client).

Hi Sergey_Jarovski and All,

Would you be able to post what the resolution for this issue is?

I am running into the same issue often when I attempt to import a list of servers from a configuration file.  I know that the configuration file for the list of servers is good because it often works on other PC's; however, about half of the time, the "Import Configuration..." function just doesn't work.

Instead, when trying to run the "Import Configuration..." function, USB Over Network will not respond for about 5 seconds, and then will not display any servers.  If I close off the program and try to open it back up, it will then display the error:  "'Shell <-> Service' Communication API not loaded!!!".

Please advise.

Thanks,
T_user
