USB modem detects line "busy" only in Hy

When using UoN with a Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 x64 guest and host, Hyper-V hypervisor, the modem can dial out through hyperterminal on the host.

As soon as the modem is forwarded to the guest, it installs correctly, can be queried through the Phone & Modems screen, although dialing through hyperterm indicates the line is ALWAYS busy?

I have an analog phone attached to this line and there is a dial tone, it is not shared with anything else.

Hi,

We are more then interested in solving the issue you encountered. But to troubleshoot it I need detailed information about your device. I would like you to take the logs of your modem with the help of USB Monitor. To get the logs, please do the following:

1. Download and install USB Monitor PRO on your computers(physical and virtual). Here is the link for downloading:

http://www.fabulatech.com/usb-monitor-pro-download.html

It has 15 days of trial.

2. Unplug your device. Launch USB Monitor;
3. Enable "Hot plug" mode in USB monitor, plug in your device and start monitoring. Perform any casual actions with the modem (device must be unshared)
4. It will take just a few minutes. Save the first log.
5. Now do the same on the computer where USB over Network(client) is installed.
6. Enable "Hot plug" mode in USB Monitor and redirect your device.
7. Perform any casual actions with the modem;
8. Save the second log file.

As a result you will have two files. One will contain logs of your device worked without USB over Network correctly. The second file will contain log when device is redirected incorrectly. Please name them according to the content. Send them to me and I will compare these log files and will find the problem to solved.
