Having problem with 2 WIBU dongle

Hi,
I have 2 WIBU dongles used for the license check of some thirdparty software. When connecting both dongles to the same host:
1. Server GUI shows them separatelly with the same name, but different device IDs.
2. Any configuration changes to one dongle affect other one the same way.

Looks like USB over Network does all operation use device name and not ID.

Any help will appreciated
Thanks

Dear dimak,

This happens because both your devices have no serial number and have the same vendor ID and Product ID. Windows system can not differentiate those devices and that is why any action you apply to one dongle is applied to another one,

As a workaround USB over Network 4.7 has special "Port Sharing" technology. It allows share the port where device is plugged in. Just right-click the device in USB over Network Server window and select "Share Port"

Hope this will help you to solve the issue.

Thanks for the quick answer.

Yes, it does work - just have to check device to 'Not share automatically' (still only one device listed in that list) to have only one device automatically shared through Share Port feature after computer restart.

Great feature - allows me using one dongle locally and one remotely, plus configuration flexibility.

Thanks again.
