Setup Wizard ended prematurely

I cant get USB over Network (Client) installed on one of my server.

Im trying to intstall 4.5.3 on a Windows SBS 2008 SP2 server and its just not working for me. I keep getting the following error:
USB over Network (Client) 4.5.3 Setup Wizard ended prematurely.
USB over netowkr (Client) 4.5.3 Setio Wizard ended prematurely because of an error. Your sustem has not been modified. To install this program at a later time, rin Setup Wizard again.
Click Finish botton to exit the Setip Wizard.

Its a kinda pointless error, doesnt really say much.

I was getting the same thing yesterday, so I rebooted the server over night, but that made no difference at all.

I tried 4.6 (beta) and that resulted in the same error.

Whats going on here? Whats stopping me from installing this? And more importantly, how can i fix it?

Thanks

I'm having the exact same problem. I really need to get this installed ASAP. I'm installing the UoN Client on a windows 2000 machine.

Hey Chrus,

Did they help you out with the problem? if so, would it be possible to post it on here to help others out?

I got an email from Fabulatech support asking for me to run the setup again from commandline with the LOG=1 argument (eg: C:\>usb-over-network-client.msi LOG=1) so they could diagnose the problem.

I decided to give the server once more reboot (It was almpost midnight by the time i got to it) before trying again to get the log, and the d**n thing just worked.

I havent actually tested it connecting to the server yet, will be doing that on monday. But from what I can tell... everything looks alright.

Sorry I couldnt be more helpful. I suggest you send support an email with the log and see waht they have to say about it. Or maybe try rebooting just one more time?
