Hi,

UsbOverNetwork 4.5.3
Server: XP Sp3
Client: Windows 2003 running under VMWare 2, Windows 2008 Host

The problem is I cannot connect.

In the client log I have:

2011.04.08 08:23:16 [1168] [2780] [ERROR]: Network wait failed. Error 6: The handle is invalid. . Returned code -1
2011.04.08 08:23:16 [1168] [2780] [ERROR]: Exiting from device reading thread on error
2011.04.08 08:23:19 [1168] [2788] [ERROR]: Network wait failed. Error 6: The handle is invalid. . Returned code -1
2011.04.08 08:23:19 [1168] [2788] [ERROR]: Exiting from device reading thread on error

If I force connection from clients I see a continuous stream of connect/disconnect.

Can you help me please?

Please send us the following so we can investigate the issue:

- The system information of both PC's where USB over Network (Server and

Client) is installed. To get system information file  you need to do the

following: Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System

Information File -> Save.

- The USB over Network log files. Please look for the logs in

%systemroot%\system32 folder (or if your PC is x64 then in

%systemroot%\syswow64). The log file names should be:

ftusbsrv.log - for USB over Network Server

ftusbsrvc.log - for USB over Network Client

If you would like to assist us to closer investigate the issue please do the following:

1) Download the USB Monitor Pro using the following link:

http://www.fabulatech.com/usb-monitor-pro-download.html

2) Install it on PCs where USB over Network Server and Client are installed  -  the idea is to get logs when everything works fine - without using USB over Network and when you can see the issue - using USB over Network

3) Reboot the machine after the installation

4) Run the USB monitor Pro. Press File -> Start Monitoring Session-> Monitoring of a hot plugged device.

5)Plug in your USB Devcie physically into the host PC. The monitoring will start. launch software that requires dongle. ( We need it to capture the way it works so we can compare it to the variant with USB over Network client)

6) Stop monitoring. Save the log file and send it to me

7) Run the USB monitor Pro on PC where Client part is installed. Press File -> Start Monitoring Session-> Monitoring of a hot plugged device.

Cool Connect the USB device via USB over Network Client

9) do something to reproduce the issue.

10) Stop monitoring. Save the log file and send it to me
