USB Devices reboots; Server doesn't re-connect to

Hey all,

I'm running the 4.5.3 trial of UoN.  I can successfully connect and control the USB device over the network.  I have one small issue that I'm facing when I reboot the USB device from the client.  The server does not pick the device back up once it has been rebooted.  It's grayed out in  the Server window and says "Not plugged".  According to the log, this is what is happening:

[2088] [2116] [ERROR]: GetDescriptor failed. bFromDevice = 1, ucIndex = 1, ucDescriptorType = 3, uLangId = 1033, lpBuffer = 0xdf0708, uBufferLen = 255
[2088] [2116] [ERROR]: GetDescriptor failed. bFromDevice = 1, ucIndex = 0, ucDescriptorType = 2, uLangId = 0, lpBuffer = 0x1dad2cc, uBufferLen = 9
[2088] [2116] [ERROR]: Is device mouse or keyboard detection failed

Any idea what is going on?

It is highly important for us to understand how we can reproduce the same issue.

Thanks

Hey Harry,

Here is a brief explanation of what happens.  I connect to my USB device, I send some data to update it's firmware.  After the firmware is updated, the device reboots.

It's at that point, that it is not re-loaded in the server, and I see the errors mentioned earlier.  I have to unplug the device and replug it back in, in order to see it in the server list as a usable USB device.

Please try enabling the following options in USB over Network Server.

- Enable troubleshooting.

To do it you have to right click on a device in USB over Network Server window. Select Troubleshooting from context menu. Enable both options. Re-share the device.

Enable "auto-sharing" The device will be automatically shared.

- Launch USB over Network Server.

- Plug in the USB device

- The device will appear in the USB over Network Server window

- Press Preferences->Settings.

- Go to Auto-Sharing tab

- Check the checkbox "Enable auto-sharing"

- Do not forget to mark the devices that you do not want to auto-share (mice and keyboards)

- Press OK

- Re-plug the USB device. It will be shared automatically

Please let me know the results.
