Can not get string descriptor?

I am testing my program with USB overs Network. I shared a USB flash drive to other Windows XP PC. My program intends to read string descriptors(serial number, iManufacturer and iProduct string) from USB device. However, I can not get any string descriptor from the shared device. Does anyone know why?

I also used USBView to get string descriptors from the virtual USB device. USBView also failed to get string descriptors. It looks like USB over Network blocks "Get descriptor" requests.

Note: USBView is a free utility from Microsoft  that displays the USB connection tree and shows the USB devices that are connected to it together with their configuration data. Its source code can be found in Windows DDK/WDK.

Dear hychen.

To answer your question we would like to ask you to share your device for us (via USB over Network) so we can connect it and try to get information you need. This also will allow us reapidly fix the issue you faced with.

Can we continue discussing the details by email? Please reply to support@fabulatech.com

I am looking forward to your reply.
