after connection to USB Device no COM port added

After connection to USB Device (GSM Gateway) in the USB over Network Client no COM port is added to Device Manager in section "Ports". But the device is added in section "USB Controller". But it is not added in section "Ports" as a new com port.

Since the device is not added as new COM Port, I cannot connect.

This behaviour happens:

- Windows XP
- Usb NEtwork Client 4.5 Beta 3

I do not have the same problems with the same client in Windwos 7 x64.

DKWien,

Do you have all necessary drivers on the XP machine?

It could be a WinXP Driver Problem for the USB Device. It is a FTDI Chip for a GSM Gateway. The driver for XP is quite old and the driver for Windows 7 x64 is quite new.

I do not understand: in the beginning the virtual USB Port is dedected as new hardware and now not even once since a long time..
