windows ce client license key

I received a license key to allow the evaluation of sharing multiple usb devices from my thin client to my desktop pc. I copied the relevant information in a file I named license.key I copied that file to the folder on the platform also containing the (hidden)dll and exe of the package. After a reboot, nothing seems to have changed if I check the program info file.

Is there something wrong with my procedure for using that license file? Is there a way (like enabling some logging) to find out why the software ignores the license file? I can't seem to find any information about how to license the CE client.

I also noticed that once the driver is installed, it always seems to be used when a new usb device is connected. Before the install, it was asking me with a popup window for the correct driver of an unknown usb device. Now, it just shows up in the sharable usb devices. Even if I select that I don't want to share it anymore, it's not asking for the driver? Is it suposed to work like that?

My platform is X86 and CE version is 5.0

Luc,

Concerning the license file, the problem seems to be in the key itself.
The licensing guys gave me the wrong key, the CE version requires its own format of keys. Sorry about the misunderstanding.
