Problem Devices

Version 3.7

I am trying to use USB over Network for creating a media center on a Hyper-V virtual machine.

The server/client have installed ok. The client recognises the USB device (a Hauppage Nova TD Stick) and happily installs the drivers for it.

However as soon as the drivers are installed it repeatedly disconnects the device on the client. If I set the client to automatcially connect all devices on the server, it simply goes through the cycle of connecting and disconnecting endlessly.

Is there some sort of criteria as to what hardware is suitable for this solution?

Thanks

Tom

Hi Tom,

Disable the auto-connect and try to reconnect the device physically after it disconnects. This means that you need to unplug the device and then plug it again.

Thanks

This sounds like exactly what I'm going to try to do. I have a few questions for you.

Did you get it successfully working?
Have you tried it with dual tuners?
Does Media Center recognize it alright?

Thanks!

I cannot give you the exact answer, because Tom haven't posted his results here. However you can check this yourself with new 3.7.1 version. It is available here:

Thanks.
