Hi

It would be great if I can put a password on USB device. I'm planning to setup one server with a lot of USB ports and have it serve USB dongles to client devices (Win2003 servers inside a VM).

What I would like to be able to do, is allow client01 to connect to USB01 only. This might be through an IP rule or password or even more sofisticated, but I want to prevent that sys admins connect to the wrong device.

Any solution for that?

Hi Gabrie,

Thanks for your request.

A lot of our customers use the solution exactly as you described.

Yes, the feature you asked for is really useful.
And be sure, we'll implement it in the next versions.
Currently the only solution is pre-configure client sides, to connected only specified devices (by Device ID)automatically and do not change configuration. As soon as our solution runs as system service, user even do not need to launch GUI each time and configure connection.

Thanks.
