Serial Port Server question

I am running a trial of the Serial port redirector and I have it setup in Server Mode so that I can remote to the port and get the information. This work great for most of the software that I am using but I have one piece of software that will only allow me to connect when it is sending information to the COM port.

I know it is because the port is not attached to the program until it needs to send the information. I was wondering is there a way to have the virtual com port allow a constant tcp/ip connection?

Thanks

The virtual com port is controlled by an application and not by Serial Port Redirector. In case your application cannot keep the port open, serial port redirector cannot do it too.

Would this ever be a feature that you would think about including?
