Communication speed

I just downloaded the trial version. I was able to connect a physical serial port on one computer to a program on another computer.

But there were delays in deliverying the data back and forth. What kind of throughput does the server support?

There are two ways of serial ports connection in Network Serial Port Kit product: virtual to virtual and physiacal to virtual.

Throughput of švirtual to virtual connection limits by computers performance and network bandwidth mostly (e.g. we got transmission speed of serial data up to 200 kbps for such connection easily).

For physical to virtual connection, Network Serial Port Kit enables bit rate emulation automatically so throughput of such connection defines by virtual COM port settings mostly (e.g. transition speed of serial data over network for 115200 bps COM port will be limited by 12 kbps.)
