Broken connection when system time is updated

We're using NSPK v5.4 to provide connectivity between two of our application.

We have noticed that, if we update the system time in advance, most connections get broken. We have already figured out that by setting the ports to auto reconnect they get restored eventually.

I was just wondering, if there is an explanation to this sensitivity to time change in NSPK and whether there is a newer release that has fixed it.

Geza,

Please specify the following:

1. Let me know what system time you used.
2. Did the connections brake immediately or after a certain period of time?
3. Did all the connections brake at the same time?

Thanks,

Hi Mike,

Here are the replies to your questions:

1. I am running NSPK on Windows XP Professional workstation for testing. I click the clock in bottom left corner, and update system time in the Date and Time Properties dialog. Ex: I updated time by 10 min then by one hour.
2. Connections broke immediately.
3. Not all connections broke and not always the same ones. I have 58 active connections. Between 2-10 connections broke, then they start recovering. It can take up to one minute until they do recover all.

With time updates, I would imagine that all application using timers would be affected. NSPK may use timers just like out own applications do.

Thanks again.
