Connection stopped working

We are using NSPK on a 2003 Terminal server to connect to com1 of the hyperV host. The connection was working flawlessly. The connection no longer works and reinstalling NSPK does not affect the connection. No work was done to either server. Both NSPK lights are red, and the connecting side's application will give the same error that it would if the virtual com port that it is pointing to did not exist.
Any suggestions? The software simply isnt working for us anymore.

CCamarato,

There is definitely something that caused this, our software does not stop working for no reason. You might want to check if any firewall / antivirus settings were changed (maybe scheduled to be changed?) or network configuration changed, any routers/hardware firewalls added?  Anything. Did you upgrade any of the NSPK copies? Both parts should be of the same version.

We need at least some information to be able to help you.
Try adding a different virtual COM port (like COM 20 for example) and configuring your software to connect to that COM 20.

I agree that it appears that something has changed, but i can really not find anything. Both firewalls are off and there is seamless communication between the servers. We have reinstalled the program a few times on the servers and even changed the communicating port on both sides. We have also tried to install NSPK on a different server and use it as a host. We cant get it to connect anymore.
Both sides are fully licensed copies. However, when they were registered, the technician only entered the 2 node key into the host. After the issue came up, we entered the key into the client in an attempt to resolve the issue.
Both clients were running 1.5 and have been updated to 1.7 in an attempt to resolve the issue.
We also have tried to change the com port to a few different settings. None of them allowed the connection.

The current version of NSPK is 5.7, are you sure you upgraded to 1.7?
Is it possible for you to give us remote access to these machines?
