Windows 98 'support'

Hi,
We need to secure a customers Windows 98 (yes, I know) application that uses one COM port (0x2f8h I believe)for the next two years while a new and modern application is built. Because the current application will not function under XP or higher, we are looking for a temp solution to accomplish this. Also Windows 98 is not supported any more (nor by Microsoft or by the modern PC builders). Do you have a possible solution(s) to such a problem? It may be a 'standard' Windows environment, but a Virtual environment is also acceptable.

So, what I am trying to ask is, do you have a solution that will enable us to run a Windows 98 application using 1 COM port, under a modern OS and HW platform?

Thanks,
Stephen

Dear Alberss

We would gladly like to help you but, unfortunately, it is outside the competence of FabulaTech Team. We do not offer OS compatibility solutions.
Anyway thanks for your interest.
